Make sure your physician is aware of any additional medications you use, including herbal remedies, opioids, stimulants, depression, mental illness, Parkinson’s disease, migraine headaches, major infections, and nausea and vomiting prevention. These medications have the potential to interact with mirtazapine for sleep and result in serotonin syndrome, a dangerous illness.

Dosage details
Average Adult Depression Dosage:
First dosage: 15 milligrams taken orally at bedtime once a day.
Maintenance dosage: once daily, 15 to 45 mg taken orally
Daily maximum dose: 45 mg
Remarks: -Based on patient response, the dose may be increased every one to two weeks to a maximum of 45 mg/day.
-Reassessments should be performed on patients on a regular basis to see if this medication is still necessary.

When the time for your next dose is almost here, skip the missed one and take the medication as soon as possible. Avoid taking two doses at once.
